works fine... 'till it breaks! My wife and I are moderate coffee drinkers and we have had our machine since our wedding about a year and a half ago. The machine generally worked predictably enough for regular and light use until it started inexplicably leaking every time we made a cup of coffee. Finally the carafe split and cracked and now we find we are scr*wed as there is no replacement carafe offered for this machine! Stay FAR FAR away from Kitchenaid as they will rip you off in order to pad their profit margin! I won't be buying a Kitchenaid next time around, that's all I know...
Nice product I bought this as a Christmas present for my Mom who is a daily coffee drinker. It's very nice looking and she really likes it. It has great features...it beeps when the coffee is done, it has a water filter and it tells you how long the coffee has been sitting there.
Form over function. The design of the coffee maker is beautiful, and the coffee that it produced tasted great. So what is the problem you ask? After the span of just over 6 months the coffee maker would not brew a pot in under an hour. Incredibly frustrating.
